You may have seen from our Facebook page that next month’s club screening is, in fact, next months two club screenings. We’re treating you (and ourselves) to a swashbuckling double bill of Douglas Fairbanks (the original “King Of Hollywood”) films.
September marks the first anniversary of Bristol Silents Club Screenings & a double bill of Fairbanks films seems like an appropriate way to celebrate this.
The first screening is on Wednesday 7th September & will be held at The Old Picturehouse, otherwise known as Tiki, on Whiteladies Road. (There’s a link at the foot of this blog to the google map for Tiki).
The second screening is on Wednesday 21st September & will be at the King’s Arms, Blackboy Hill. You can use the same map as for Tiki just follow it further up Whiteladies Road which turns into Blackboy Hill.
Both films will be introduced by Tom Vincent of Aardman Animations &, as ever with our club screenings, will be FREE.
If you are coming James, who runs the Facebook page & who programmed these screenings, would appreciate it if you could visit the Facebook page & click on ‘attending’. But don’t worry if you can’t do this, we won’t turn anyone away.
